We wish to information you that Arunchala Educational And Environment Trust is registered under Indian trust act 1995 and Foreign contribution regulation act 2010 to receive funds from abroad. The organization has all legal entities. The trust is working among the disadvantaged, neglected, excluded groups of the community in and around salem, namakkal and villupuram districts. We are working among women, children, farmers, adolescent girls, youths, dalits, tribes and leprosy patients and their families.

Our main programs are income generation, skill development trainings, women self help group and strengthening, free distribution of school aids to poor children, mats, pillows and blankets to hostel inmates belonging to poor and marginalized groups. Now we have identified 378 leprosy patients in thalaivasal attur areas of Salem district in central Tamilnadu about 50 – 70 kms away from salem district headquarters and 250 -270 kms away from Chennai, capital of Tamilnadu state (province). The lepers are facing stigma discrimination; nobody is interested to provide employment to them; so they are struggling even for survival and so they are begging in front of the temples, mosques, bus stations, railway station and door by door of houses and shops.

Some of them are affected much and fingers of hands and legs are disintegrating by ulcers, so, they are not moving easily from one place to another. They are under depression and sometimes attempt suicide due to their inability of livelihood sources. Hence, on the basic humanitarian basis, it is decided to help them for their children through special schools and home for the children of lepers at Attur. We came to know that you are broad minded and having generosity towards helping the excluded and marginalized group of the community such as lepers etc.,

We submit the following few lines to your kind sympathy consideration and favorable help. We regret to state that they are all poor. Deformed HIV/AIDS and leprosy and handicapped children’s and illegal birth children’s.
